Software studio · United Kingdom

Operational software for teams that work on the floor and in the field.

Longward builds the systems behind textile mills and charity field teams. Designed from inside the operation, not from a spec sheet.

Services

Beyond the products.

Custom software

Systems for operational teams whose work doesn’t fit off-the-shelf tools. We start with the domain model, agree it with you, then build and run it.

Textile operations consulting

Weaving and dyehouse process, ERP selection and rollout, and the data your production floor should be capturing. Advice from someone who has run the floor.

  1. 01

    Domain first

We map how your operation actually works before we design a single screen.

  2. 02

    Built to be run

Audit trails, permissions and backups belong in the first release, not the last.

  3. 03

In it for the long run

We build systems we expect to maintain for years, and design them that way.

About

Started on the mill floor.

Longward was founded by Fatih Akkaya. Before writing software, he ran a textile business — weaving and dyehouse — and lived with the ERP systems and spreadsheets that were meant to hold it together.

Longward builds the tools he wanted then: for textile mills, and for the charities and organisations whose work happens away from a desk. We are an independent company registered in England and Wales.
